IT Financial Management

Borland Tempo provides capabilities that give useful insights into money expended on IT technology investemnts and the returns from the same to support, planning, accounting and internal charge backs. The system offers IT financial management capabilities that capture the detailed information about the costs of projects, programs and other investments, required for accounting and budgeting. The reports generated can be used to isolate capital expenditures from expenses, by time period, to comply with guidelines such as SOP 98-1 in the U.S. Borland Tempo also includes features for managing internal charge backs by allocating resource expenditures across internal customers by percentage or by investment and thereby securing audited approvals of these allocations. Borland Tempo Financial Management enables the creation of transaction-level control documentation, supported with policy-gated status change and other audited changes, for example, required under Section 404 of the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act for significant accounts. With Borland Tempo Financial Management, organizations can achieve:

  • Reduction in the effort required for financial reporting and regulatory compliance

  • Detailed understanding of how money is being expended
